Think of it this way - toxins are like a bad ex, they hang around. They are absorbed through the surface of the skin and enter into our bloodstream, risking systemic changes throughout the body which can have lasting effects.

While we like to stay in our own lane at Three Warriors, it is important to note, most tanning products (including face tan and spray tan solutions) are packed with hidden nasties that don’t just stay skin deep.

WHAT DOES 'CERTIFIED ORGANIC' FAKE TAN MEAN?

For a fake tan or natural gradual tan product to be ‘Certified Organic’ it must contain a minimum of 70 per cent organic ingredients and the rest of the tan must be all natural. At Three Warriors we have designed our tanning products to meet the ‘Certified Organic’ guidelines including: organic spray tan, organic fake tan and organic tanning scrubs.

 

In addition to being certified by the Organic Food Chain (OFC), we are also certified by the Toxic Free Safe Cosmetics Australia council. This means all our Three Warriors organic fake tan products are free range, cruelty-free, socially responsible, sourced without genetic modifications, hormones, antibiotics, synthetic pesticides and herbicides.

 

IS THREE WARRIORS VEGAN?

Vegan and vegetarian warriors can rest at ease, we’ve got you covered. Our sunless tan collection is 100 per cent vegan (yes that’s right...completely organic, natural fake tan!).

 

ARE THREE WARRIORS PRODUCTS TESTED ON ANIMALS?

Absolutely not! We are a natural tan brand that not only prides itself as being ‘Certified Organic,’ Australian Made and Toxic-Free (as certified by the Australian Toxic-Free Organisation) but are also certified by the Australian Cruelty-Free Association. This means our tanning products and key fake tan ingredients are not and will never be the result of animal cruelty.

 

IS THREE WARRIORS SAFE TO USE WHEN PREGNANT?

Absolutely! All  Three Warriors tanning products and tanning scrubs contain organic, plant and vegetable derived ingredients, which are certified by the OFC as well as Toxic-Free Safe Cosmetics Australia. So, very safe for our Warrior mums! 

 

DO THREE WARRIORS PRODUCTS PROTECT YOU FROM THE SUN?

No, none of our natural fake tans, tanning products and tanning scrubs will protect your skin from the sun. It’s so important that our warriors take the recommended sun safety precautions by using high grade, toxic-free sunscreen and checking out the official guidelines on the Cancer Council page here.

 

HOW QUICKLY WILL MY NATURAL FAKE  TAN DEVELOP AFTER APPLYING?

This all depends on the Three Warriors tanning product you choose to go for!

To bring a little sun kissed glow to your face, our Three Warriors Face Tan Aqua Mist will give you a natural boost within only 3 hours. Simply spritz and watch that face tan baby!

Alternatively for a more gradual tan you’re happy to build up on the go our signature Three Warriors Gradual Tan is amazing! Simply apply in the morning and allow the natural fake tan to develop throughout the day while it also moisturises your body at the same time! Or if you prefer to apply a self-tan mousse with a glove, our Three Warriors Self-Tan Mousse is perfect for those happy to leave on between 1-5 hours (or overnight) and will last for up to approximately seven days.

 

WILL THREE WARRIORS PRODUCTS STAIN MY SHEETS OR CLOTHING?

As natural and organic tan products, Three Warriors  not only uses the highest quality natural ingredients (read: no toxins) our fake tan doesn’t contain the same toxic chemicals that usually appear in tanning products, instead using plant and vegetable derived ingredients. What does this mean? 

 

With non-toxic pigments used it’s a lot less likely to transfer to clothes and sheets. However we recommend all our warriors wear loose and dark clothing while the tan develops, just to be on the safe side!  The same goes for sheets! If any tanning products do transfer to sheets or clothing, be assured that our ingredients are water soluble and should wash out - no staining agents are in the products.

 

HOW LONG WILL FAKE TAN LAST WITH EACH THREE WARRIOR PRODUCT? 

Well warriors, this one is all down to you and the fake tan or tanning product you choose to use! All of our Three Warriors tanning products have the ability to last a while, depending on how regularly you choose to apply them!

The Three Warriors Gradual Tan works to develop over time and be worn every day for a slow, steady natural tan progression, so with this natural fake tan (and our face tan), the sky is the limit! Keep applying daily for an ongoing glow.

If you are a little lazy or just too busy to do it daily, the Three Warriors Self-Tan Mousse needs only 1-2 applications (depending how dark you wish to go with your face tan and fake tan) and will last approximately seven days.

 

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO WAIT BEFORE SHOWERING AFTER APPLYING THREE WARRIORS TAN?

WILL MY FAKE TAN BECOME PATCHY IF I EXERCISE?

So you like to work up a sweat? Doesn’t mean you can’t boast a golden glow while you do it! All our Three Warriors natural fake tan products are designed to ensure you get the best faux glow minus a patchy fake tan or patchy spray tan look.

While we do our best to ensure the tanning products are of the highest quality, organic tan ingredients, sometimes sweating after a spray tan or a patchy spray tan happens. Be it clothes rubbing against a fresh spray tan or a little post-exercise sweat, patchy fake tan can happen.

To make sure it doesn’t we recommend wearing dark clothes, minimal undergarments while it’s drying (if possible!) and shower to wash off the fake tan residue before exercising! CAN I SWIM IN MY TAN?

At Three Warriors, we get that our warriors often lead an active, Australian beach lifestyle so by all means go for a swim in your tan.

However, be mindful that most gradual tan, fake tan and spray tan solutions won’t last longer than 5-10 days. And often swimming in your tan can shorten the lifespan. Why? Because skin cells shed every 10 days and as skin cells shed, so too does your faux glow (aka fake tan).

Be it heavy sweating from exercise, water, chlorine from the pool - all will naturally dry out your skin and make skin cells shed more quickly. This means that natural fake tan won’t last as long. So do your best to moisturise daily and then hit refresh weekly using our Tasmanian Sand Scrub to scrub, tan, repeat all Summer long!

 

EEEK! I’VE SOMEHOW GOT A STREAKY TAN. HELP!

At Three Warriors we’re committed to giving you a golden glow and natural fake tan every time. But, sometimes if you’ve been a little lax on scrubbing (exfoliating) then a streaky tan can happen. 

 

If you wake up to a streaky tan or streaky spray tan happens, don’t panic, we’ve got you!

The best thing to do is to use a small amount of body exfoliator (such as our Three Warriors Tasmanian Sand Scrub) and gently massage it on the areas where you see excess pigment or the streaky tan appearing and allow it to slowly melt away the lines, allowing a natural tan to evolve.
