Winter Chest Rub Recipe

Stay warm and breathe easy this winter with our all-natural chest rub. Perfect for soothing congestion and providing comfort during cold winter nights. 

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of sweet almond oil
  • 2 tablespoons of beeswax pellets
  • 10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
  • 10 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops of tea tree essential oil

Equipment:

  • Double boiler or heatproof bowl and pot
  • Spoon or whisk
  • Small jar or container with a lid

Instructions:

  1. Melt Oils and Beeswax:

    • In a double boiler or a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, melt 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 1/4 cup of sweet almond oil, and 2 tablespoons of beeswax pellets together. Stir occasionally until fully melted and combined.
  2. Add Essential Oils:

    • Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly. Add 10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil, 10 drops of peppermint essential oil, 10 drops of lavender essential oil, and 5 drops of tea tree essential oil. Stir well to combine.
  3. Pour into Container:

    • Carefully pour the mixture into a small jar or container with a lid. Allow it to cool and solidify completely at room temperature.
  4. Store and Use:

    • Once solidified, label your jar and store it in a cool, dry place. To use, rub a small amount onto your chest and neck to help soothe congestion and breathe easier.
