Blue French clay is a rarer variety of French clay, valued in cosmetics for its gentle detoxifying and brightening properties—a softer alternative to green clay.

This natural clay is sourced from regions in France and gets its colour (blue/grey tones) mineral composition (silica, iron, trace elements). It is considered a milder option over the green clay.

Blue French clay is a great gentle detox for the skin, helps brighten and even out skin tone, helps to absorb excess oil, soft exfoliator, and soothes the skin. Great to mix with glycerin, aloe vera, hydrosols and carrier oils.

Best suited to:

• Sensitive skin
• Normal to combination skin
• Dull or tired-looking skin

Add to your DIY face mask, cream/lotions, cleansers or your DIY soaps.

Face Masks: Add 1 tbsp green french clay to 1-2tbsp or water/floral water or aloe vera liquid and a few drops of prickly pear or pumpkin seed oil. Mix together and apply to face/body. Leave for approx 10 minutes and gently rinse off. Apply a good moisteriser after.

Cream/lotions: Add the green french clay to you DIY base at a ratio of 1-3%.
